I live in Ashbourne and would certainly not recommend Sainsburys for parking. The area is limited to car bays only and is extremely tight to maneuver. May I recommend the

Council Park at Shawcroft, Park Road, which is close to the centre with Pay & Display and not the limit of 2 hours as exists at Sainsburys. Opposite Shawcroft is an overspill car park as well which opens in the summertime. (Next to Fire Station on

Ashbourne "inner ring road"). If you wanted Free Parking you can park on the

Derby Road Hill just before the Traffic lights with no restrictions (This is the route from Derby to Ashbourne before the by pass opened) and is only 2 mins walk to town.
